Taiwan's National Council on Physical Fitness and Sports has dubbed 5th May "Bicycle Day", it announced yesterday. Taiwan's cycle advocacy scene is led by King Liu, founder of Giant.
Taiwan will hold mass cycling events on 5th May this year and in the years ahead.
Giant chairman King Liu is the moving force in Taiwan's Cycling Life-Style Foundation.
Liu told the China Post it took several years of promotion efforts to bring Taiwan in line with countries such as the US, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Italy and France and recognise a bicycle day.
